How to make your own cinema from scratch is a popular trend among techies.
The idea is that you can build a home cinema using old school materials, and then build an entirely new version that’s just as good.
That way you’ll be able to play your favourite films at home.
The DIY project involves using a number of different materials to build a cinema out of cardboard, PVC pipe and old film stock.
It’s a clever method, but the problem is that the materials are generally not up to the task.
Here’s how to do it yourself.
How to DIY Cinema 1.
Make your own film stock How to start off with film stock: Use a sheet of cardboard or plastic film stock to make a frame.
The film stock can be bought online, or made yourself.
If you can’t get it from a local store, try to buy it in a DIY store.
Cut a hole in the cardboard or PVC pipe 3.
Lay a piece of plastic in the hole to make the frame.
Cut out the top of the frame, and lay a sheet or sheet of PVC pipe around it. 4.
Cut the film stock out of the PVC pipe.
Lay the frame on top of your PVC pipe using a ruler, or you can use your hand to make it fit.
Lay down the filmstock and put the film down in the centre of the cardboard/pVC pipe.
Make a hinge on the film.
Make sure you don’t make it too wide, as this will make it harder to lift the film, and may also make it more difficult to lift.
Cut off the excess PVC pipe, so the film can slide back into place.
Lay your film down on top again, and you’ve got your cinema.
